If you remember my post about the fabulous Pontifex vonHummer, you will know that he's a local Portland cable access star and man about town who wears lobsters on his head while acting and performing musical numbers. See below:
So, vonHummer took time off from his schedule of live performances (oh, yes, you read that right) to film a movie. A good movie? Most definitely not. A silly movie? Assuredly - it's called Bubiwolf.

I wonder what sort of hijinx are going on over at LiveJournal today that the site is so slow/unresponsive. Normally, with any other site, you'd just think "server issues" or something similar, but these sort of problems with LiveJournal usually herald some kind of unwelcome shenanigans.

- I picked up a copy of the PC game Evidence: The Last Ritual on clearance for 7.50. I haven't played it much so far, but let me tell you how weird it is to have the game emailing me clues.
- And while checking my Gmail account's spam folder, I got a lovely text advertisement for recipes invovling something unholy - "Spam Fajitas - Serves 8, add extra salsa if desired". I just want to go on record as saying that there is not enough salsa on this or any other planet which could make SPAM FAJITAS appetizing to me.
- I read something online in the midst of my research on a related topic that makes me want to watch SG-1. Well, the first few seasons, at least. It's not that I hated the show, I just never got into it. It was never on at a convenient time for me, and I didn't have cable when it was first on. And then by the time I could have gotten into SG-1, it was so far into its dotage that I didn't feel like trying to play catch-up. So, I'm giving it a go, though I don't think it'll ever overtake my love for SGA. ^__^
- I responded to someone's post about a movie where one of the main characters was possibly a pedophile, in which they incredulously complained that they didn't think he could have been a pedophile - because he was so attractive and clean cut and blah, blah. Because all the molestors they'd seen on Dateline and in mug shots, etc., are sleazy, mustachioed folk with questionable hygiene. ::rolls eyes:: So, I basically said, "Hey, too bad my uncle couldn't have had the thoughtfulness to grow a mustache and stop bathing and look unkempt so that I might have known to stay the hell away from him." And I also asked him/her if maybe the attractive pedophiles aren't getting away with more shit and getting off the hook more because people make dumbass assumptions like this.
